Meet Dawn M. Blair

Candidate for Dallas Dallas City Council -  District 4

My name is Dawn Maria Blair. I was born and raised in South Dallas. I attended my neighborhood elementary schools, Phillis Wheatley and St. Anthony Catholic School. I’m a product of Dallas Independent School District graduating from the Business Management Center. I received my bachelor’s from Bishop College in 1985.

I began my professional career at the City of Dallas. After 14 1/2 years in public service, I joined my family real estate business, Blair White Realty. I also worked with a large firm that was accountable for national real estate accounts. Approximately 6 years ago, I purposely returned to public service at the City of Dallas in management in the department of aviation.

Having lived in the district for over 14 years, I see the daily challenges as a resident of our District Four neighborhood. My passion and purpose is to improve our quality of life. Just driving through the district, compels me to make a substantive difference. I believe that much of that passion comes from both my grandmother, Alberta Blair and aunt, Mabel White, who were pioneers in the real estate business in the Black community of Dallas.

For the record, I am not a member of the Elite News Blair family. Nevertheless, please know that our families have always known and supported one another, along with the Fred Blair family.

I am Passionate about improving the state of our district; Prepared to serve and represent our district and I will be Persistent to the call and cause of our district.
